*Makar Sankranti Celebration at AVB Phadke Vidyalaya – English Medium Primary Section*
On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, the students of AVB Phadke Vidyalaya, English Medium Primary Section, celebrated this vibrant festival with great enthusiasm and creativity. The day was marked by a special kite-making activity, where students, affectionately referred to as little munchkins, had the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents.
Under the guidance of their teachers, the young learners crafted a wide variety of kites in different shapes, sizes, and colors. The kites were beautifully designed, with many featuring intricate patterns and vibrant hues. From traditional diamond-shaped kites to unique, imaginative creations, each child’s work was a testament to their creativity and love for cultural expression.
The kite-making activity not only allowed the students to explore their artistic abilities but also helped them understand the cultural significance of Makar Sankranti. The joy and excitement on the children’s faces as they worked on their kites reflected the true spirit of the festival—one of celebration, creativity, and connection with tradition.
This activity promoted a deeper appreciation for our cultural heritage, while fostering a sense of community and teamwork among the students. It was a fun-filled and educational experience that allowed the children to express their individuality while celebrating the traditions of Makar Sankranti.
The celebration was a great success, leaving the students with fond memories and a stronger connection to the cultural practices associated with the festival.
