The excitement of Raksha Bandhan, which strengthens the bond between sister and brother, is different. Not only in Maharashtra, but in the entire country of India, preparations for this festival start several days in advance. On the occasion of this festival, a ‘special’ activity was conducted on Wednesday at Adyakrantiveer Vasudev Balwant Phadke Vidyalaya, New Panvel. This initiative was taken by Phadke Vidyalaya, English Medium, Primary section in association with Manav Vikas Trust, an organization for special need children.On this occasion, rakhis made by special children were sold at a stall in the school premises. For this, there was a spontaneous response from the parents, students, teachers and residents of the surrounding area. Also, the students tied a unique bond with the sanitation workers (स्वच्छता दूत) of Panvel Mahanagara Palika, who are constantly striving to keep Panvel city clean and beautiful.
The employees present on the occasion expressed their gratitude to the school for taking notice of our work which is underestimated in the society. On this occasion, the headmistress of Primary section, English medium honorable Sheetal Salunkhe, as well as all teaching and non-teaching staff were present.
The school maintained its legacy of social commitment by sharing the joy of this festival with the community helpers.
