@@@…Bhondla Celebration..@@@

Bhondla starts from the first day of Navaratri and it is celebrated till Kojagiri Purnima. Like other Indian festivals bhondla is connected to nature and is celebrated after the rains of Hasta Nakshatra bringing good crops. In a way, it’s a thanksgiving ritual to nature which blesses mankind with prosperity. A picture of an elephant is placed in the center and a garland of flowers and Prasad is offered to him. After the ritual of worshipping the deities. Bhondla commences with the prayer song of Ganesha ‘Ailama Pailama Ganesh Deva’.

The Bhondla celebration was done in A.V.B.Phadke Vidyalaya with great enthusiasm and zeal. Everyone was engrossed in the celebration of the festival after pooja and aarti of goddess Saraswati and the elephant statue. Teachers along with students sang bhondla songs and bhajans and made the atmosphere pure.  A beautiful rangoli was made in front of the assembly hall which made the celebration more auspicious. Students also enjoyed stepping into the garba form. Some of the alumni of the school also visited and reignited their special memories on this occasion and showed their love and respect for the school. Around 700 students from classes 1st to 7th participated in the event.
