Ashadhi Ekadashi Celebration
Ashadhi Ekadashi holding great religious significance and is dedicated to lord Vitthal which marks the starting of monsoon season is celebrated in AVB Phadke Vidyalaya, New Panvel by the students of secondary section English medium on 16th July 2024 in assembly hall from 9:15 am to 10: 30 am .
Mrs. Maral madam introduced the students about the celebration of Ashadhi Ekadashi followed by worshipping God Vitthal by HM Mahajan ma’am with faith and devotion. One of the Students Miss Tanisha Chavan from 9th brahmagiri informed about the significance of Ashadhi Ekadashi through her speech. All teachers along with students and parents representatives worshipped lord Vitthal by singing Artis. Music teacher Mrs. Thawai created a spiritual environment through her song devoted to Lord Vitthal . The students were dressed up in Varkari costumes carried with flags, taal, tulasi plants, flash cards etc.
They celebrated Ekadashi by singing Abhang in a competition held by the school. Students from 8th and 9th grades presented Abhang by different Saints which promotes unity and devotion among the community reinforcing cultural value and tradition.
In this way, through celebration children were made aware of our tradition and greatness of saints who gave importance to social equality and inculcated moral value among the children .
Finally the celebration concluded with appreciation of the parents representative for their valuable presence and with a vote of thanks by Head Mistress Mahajan madam.
