A quiz competition was organized on Monday, 16th February 2026, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and the death anniversary of Vasudeo Balwant Phadke. The programme was arranged by MES AVB Phadke Vidyalaya, Secondary Section (English Medium), for the students of Classes VIII and IX. The competition was conducted in the school assembly hall.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome by the Headmistress. Miss Aditi Waghmare led the students in taking the oath of Shivaji Maharaj and explained the importance of his life and achievements. Anushka Singh delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the life and contributions of Vasudeo Balwant Phadke to India’s freedom struggle.

After this, Rohini Madam formed four teams, each comprising six members selected from Classes VIII and IX of all divisions. The teams were named Warrior, Legend, Patriot, and Champion. Miss Rohini Patade then explained the rules and guidelines of the competition.

The quiz competition began with great enthusiasm. All participants actively took part and showcased their knowledge confidently. The event was both informative and engaging for everyone present. Among the four teams, the Patriot team emerged as the winner.

The programme concluded successfully with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit.
