Welcome to New Session 2026–27
M.E.S. Adyakrantiveer Vasudev Balwant Phadke Vidyalaya, New Panvel, English Medium Secondary Section commenced the new academic session 2026–27 with great enthusiasm and excitement on 15th June 2026. To make the first day of school memorable and welcoming for the students, a special programme was organized.
The students entered the school premises amidst the festive beats of Dhol-Tasha, creating a joyful and energetic atmosphere. At the entrance, the students were warmly welcomed by the Headmistress, Manisha Mahajan, through a traditional Aukshan Ceremony, symbolizing blessings and good wishes for the new academic year.
The programme began with the Poojan Ceremony, seeking divine blessings for a successful and prosperous year ahead. This was followed by a warm welcome address, where students were greeted and encouraged to begin the new session with positivity and dedication. As a token of love and encouragement, greeting cards prepared by the class teachers were distributed to all the students. The thoughtful gesture brought smiles to their faces and made them feel special and valued.
Sports Teacher Vaibhavi Maral conducted an interactive session with the students, explaining the important school rules and regulations, discipline expectations, and guidelines to be followed throughout the year. The session helped students understand their responsibilities and encouraged them to maintain a positive attitude towards learning. A specially decorated Selfie Point, creatively prepared by the teachers, became the centre of attraction for the students. The teachers enthusiastically clicked photographs of the students at the selfie point, helping them create beautiful memories of their first day of the new academic session. The selfie point added excitement and joy to the celebration and was thoroughly enjoyed by all the students.
The Headmistress, Manisha Mahajan, then extended her heartfelt best wishes to all students for a successful and enriching academic year. She motivated them to work hard, remain disciplined, and strive for excellence in all their endeavours.
The programme concluded with the distribution of sweets (chikki), adding sweetness to the beginning of the new academic session and spreading happiness among the students.
The entire event was conducted successfully and created a warm, positive, and welcoming environment for the students. The celebration marked a joyful beginning to the academic year 2026–27 and inspired everyone to look forward to a year filled with learning, growth, and achievements. The event was made successful through the dedicated efforts and teamwork of all the teaching and non-teaching staff members.



Class 10th Felicitation Ceremony
M.E.S A.V.B Phadke Vidyalaya, New Panvel hosted its annual class 10 Felicitation to honour & celebrate the outstanding academic achievements of the batch of 2025-2026. The events organized students who excelled into the board examinations & rewarded their perseverance.
The ceremony was graced by the Mrs. Samita Soman, Principal of M.E.S. Gyan Mandir School, Kalamboli as the Chief Guest and Mr. Bhishikar Sir ,President of the School Committee, as the Chairperson of the Function. The event was presided over by our Headmistress of English Medium Secondary Section Mrs.Manisha Mahajan Mam, Headmistress of English Medium Primary Section Mrs.Shital Salunkhe Mam, Headmistress of Marathi Medium Secondary Section Mrs.Rachana Patil Mam, Headmistress of Marathi Medium Primary Section Mrs. Deore Mam, Headmistress of Marathi Medium Pri- Primary Section Mrs. Joshi Mam,Section Coordinators, Teachers & Proud Parents.
The Program commenced with a traditionally placing a Garlands on The school founder's Photos, followed by a warm welcome Song and a welcome of the dignitaries on the stage.
All Achievers or Students were felicitated for their Top Ranks and were honoured by the Chief Guest, Chairperson, and All Headmistress of the A.V.B.Phadke Vidyalaya, New Panvel. The Chief guest inspired the students with amotivational speech , emphasizing the importance of balancing academics with passion and values as they step into Higher Secondary Section. Along with the top rank holders of class 10 students we also felicitated our Scholarship holders of the academic year 2025-26.
A Valedictorian speech was delivered by the Students , who reflected on their memorable journey at the school & expressed gratitude to the Teachers and Parents.
Concluding the program, Mr. Bhishikar Sir, advised the students that selecting a career path after the 10th standard is highly important, therefore, both Parents & students should make an informed decision. He also mentioned that considering skill development is essential. He also addded Building Good personal and social Integrity, as it forms the backbone of an excellent National Character. Japan, a country that rebuilt its way of from the ashes after the Atomic bomb explosion. Japan is globally recognized for its discipline, mutual trust, and values, we must mould ourselves following that same example.
In this way, Sir guided the students on the subject by giving many examples. The program concluded with the inspirational song.

Dental Hygiene Awareness Programme Report
A Dental Hygiene Awareness Programme was organised on 14th July 2026 to create awareness among students about the importance of oral hygiene and proper dental care.
The session was conducted by Dr. Shilpa Godbole, a renowned dentist, along with her team. They demonstrated the correct method of brushing teeth using a dental model, enabling students to understand the proper technique for maintaining oral hygiene.
Dr. Godbole also guided the students on the importance of regular dental care, healthy oral habits, and preventive measures to maintain strong and healthy teeth. The interactive session concluded with a question-and-answer segment, during which the students' queries were addressed, making the programm both informative and engaging.
Report on Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak Death Anniversary and Elocution Competition
The school solemnly observed the death anniversary of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak on 1st August 2026(Saturday) by paying heartfelt tribute to one of India's greatest freedom fighters and nationalist leaders. The programme began with a floral tribute to the portrait of Lokmanya Tilak, followed by an informative speech highlighting his remarkable contributions to India's freedom struggle.
The students were enlightened about Tilak's life, his inspiring slogan, "Swaraj is my birthright, and I shall have it," and his valuable contributions as a patriot, journalist, social reformer, and educationist. The speech emphasized the importance of adopting his ideals of honesty, discipline, courage, and love for the nation in our daily lives.
To mark the occasion, the Second Round of the Elocution Competition was organised for the students of Classes VIII and IX. The participants confidently expressed their views on the true meaning of "Swaraj" and highlighted the relevance of Lokmanya Tilak's ideals in today's society. Their speeches reflected confidence, patriotism, and excellent speaking skills.
The competition was judged by Headmistress Mrs. Manisha Mahajan, who appreciated the efforts of all the participants and encouraged them to continue developing their communication and public speaking abilities.
The programme was anchored by Mrs. Vijaya Mhatre, who conducted the event smoothly and kept the audience engaged throughout.
The programme concluded with everyone inspired to follow the noble ideals of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak.
Report on the School Health Check-up Camp

A School Health Check-up Camp was organized by Bharat Vikas Parishad, Panvel Branch, from 13th to 17th July 2026 to promote health awareness and ensure the well-being of students, teachers, and non-teaching staff.
During the five-day camp, free health services including dental check-ups by the team from MGM's Dental College & Hospital, Kamothe, ENT examinations, Hemoglobin (Hb), Blood Pressure (BP), Blood Sugar tests, and height and weight measurements were conducted. Students were also guided on personal hygiene, oral health, balanced nutrition, and healthy lifestyle practices.
The camp helped in the early detection of health concerns and increased awareness about preventive healthcare. The school extends its heartfelt gratitude to Bharat Vikas Parishad, Panvel Branch, the doctors and medical team, the Principal, and all the teaching and non-teaching staff for their valuable support in making the programme a great success.
Report on Awareness Lecture on Cervical Cancer and HPV Vaccination
Under the Vishakha Committee, an awareness lecture on "Cervical Cancer and HPV Vaccination" was jointly organized by the school and Bharat Vikas Parishad, Panvel Branch on 18 July for women teachers, female staff members, and mothers of students.
The resource person for the session was Dr. Archana Thombre, Gynecologist, who delivered an informative and interactive lecture on breast cancer, cervical cancer, their early detection, prevention, and treatment.
Dr. Thombre emphasized that awareness among women is extremely important, as both breast cancer and cervical cancer are highly treatable when detected at an early stage. She encouraged participants to speak openly about women's health issues and explained the importance of regular self-examination. She demonstrated how women can perform breast self-examinations by checking for lumps, changes in skin colour, or any unusual changes.
While discussing cervical cancer, Dr. Thombre explained the symptoms such as abnormal white discharge, changes in odour, and the precautions women should take. She also provided valuable information about diagnostic procedures including sonography, mammography, FNAC (Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology), and biopsy.
She highlighted several preventive measures, including maintaining a healthy diet, monitoring body weight, being aware of any family history of cancer, and seeking immediate medical attention if any lump or abnormality is detected. She also explained the role of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) in causing cervical cancer and stressed the importance of HPV vaccination. She informed the audience that the vaccine is safe and is recommended for children, especially girls aged 9 to 14 years, with the prescribed dosage schedule to significantly reduce the risk of cervical cancer.
Following the lecture, Mrs. Sujata Shinde shared information about the facilities available at Reliance Foundation Hospital. She explained that Pap smear tests, medical treatment, and surgeries for cervical cancer are available either free of cost or at subsidized rates for eligible patients.
The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment, during which participants clarified their doubts and gained a better understanding of women's health and cancer prevention.
The programme was compered by Mrs. Bapat, teacher from the Marathi Medium Section, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Mrs. Mahajan, Headmistress of the English Medium Secondary Section.
The programme successfully created awareness about women's health, early cancer detection, and the importance of preventive healthcare, encouraging participants to adopt timely screening and healthy lifestyle practices.

Celebration of the 80th Independence Day
“True freedom lies in being aware of one’s civic duties and responsibilities.”
The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at MES Adyakrantiveer Vasudev Balwant Phadke Vidyalaya, New Panvel, on 15th August 2026.
The Chief Guests, Mr. Umesh Jadhav and Mrs. Vandana Jadhav, parents of Master Sarthak Jadhav, the first-rank holder in the SSC Examination of the English Medium Section for the academic year 2025–26, were warmly welcomed. Mr. Umesh Jadhav hoisted the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem, Flag Song and Rajyageet.
The Chief Guests performed the ceremonial worship of Bharat Mata and Adyakrantiveer Vasudev Balwant Phadke. The school choir presented patriotic songs, followed by the De-addiction Pledge administered by Mrs. Vaibhavi Maral, Assistant Teacher.
Students Adya Shinde, Shreya Patil, Aditya Khildkar and Anvay Pevekar delivered speeches highlighting the importance of independence, patriotism and civic responsibility. Alumnus Sarthak Jadhav also shared his thoughts and expressed his gratitude to the school.
In her address, Mrs. Manisha Mahajan, Headmistress, English Medium Secondary Section, emphasised that true freedom means understanding and fulfilling one’s civic duties. She also highlighted the importance of social and environmental responsibility.
The special attraction of the programme was the exhibition and sale of eco-friendly bamboo rakhis made by tribal communities from Melghat. The initiative aimed to develop students’ communication and entrepreneurial skills in accordance with the National Education Policy, while promoting environmental awareness and supporting the tribal community.
The programme concluded with a soulful rendition of “Vande Mataram” by the Primary Section students.
Overall, the celebration was a memorable occasion that conveyed the values of patriotism, social responsibility, environmental consciousness and responsible citizenship.

Report on Robotics

MES Pune, AVB Padke Vidyalaya, New Panvel, organised an informative and engaging Robotics Seminar for the students of Classes VIII, IX and X on 29th August, 2026 in School Assembly Hall. The seminar was arranged with the theme “Robotics – A Gateway to Future Technology.” The main objective of the seminar was to introduce students to the exciting field of robotics and create awareness about the growing role of technology in our lives. Our school principal Mrs. Mahajan Mam warmly welcomed the guests with giving beautiful Greetings made by our students.
The session was conducted by Dr. Atul Gargade, Ph.D. in Robotics, who is an expert in the field of robotics. He gave the students a detailed and interesting explanation of robots, robotics, their components, functioning and applications. He explained how robots are designed and programmed to perform different tasks and how robotics combines concepts from science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Dr. Atul Gargade also explained the increasing use of robots in various fields such as healthcare, industries, agriculture, space research, education and other areas of modern life. His explanation helped the students understand how robotics and advanced technologies are transforming the world and creating new opportunities for the future. The seminar was highly interactive and informative. Students listened attentively and showed great curiosity about robots and their functioning. They actively participated in the session and asked questions related to robotics and future technological developments. The programme successfully developed scientific curiosity, logical thinking, creativity and interest in emerging technologies among the students. It also encouraged them to explore robotics as an exciting field of learning and innovation.
The seminar was hosted & concluded by our Assistant Teacher Mrs. Monica Mam with a vote of thanks to Dr. Atul Gargade and his team for sharing his valuable knowledge and inspiring the students.
The Robotics Seminar was a memorable and enlightening experience for the students of Classes VIII, IX and X. National Sports Day Celebration

National Sports Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the Secondary Section of M.E.S. Adyakrantiveer Vasudev Balwant Phadke Vidyalaya, English medium, New Panvel, on Saturday, 29th August 2026, to commemorate the birth anniversary of the legendary Indian hockey player Major Dhyan Chand.
On this occasion, an Interclass Chess Competition was organised for the students of Std. VIII to X. The programme began with an informative session by Sports Teacher Mrs. Vaibhavi Maral, who highlighted the significance of National Sports Day and shared inspiring information about Major Dhyan Chand, his remarkable achievements and outstanding contribution to Indian hockey.
The chess tournament was formally inaugurated by our respected Headmistress, Mrs. Manisha Mahajan Madam. She encouraged the students to participate enthusiastically and develop qualities such as concentration, discipline, patience and sportsmanship through sports.
Students from Std. VIII to X participated in the chess competition with great enthusiasm. The matches provided an excellent opportunity for students to demonstrate their strategic thinking, decision-making skills and competitive spirit. Throughout the tournament, students displayed true sportsman spirit, respecting their opponents and accepting both victory and defeat gracefully.
The celebration successfully conveyed the message that sports are not only about winning but also about discipline, teamwork, fair play and developing a positive attitude. The event concluded on a cheerful and inspiring note, leaving the students motivated to actively participate in sports and maintain a healthy sporting spirit.
