With the noble vision of imparting National education, Maharashtra Education Society (MES) was established in 1860 at Pune by three great visionaries — Vaman Prabhakar Bhave, Adyakrantiveer Vasudev Balwant Phadke, and Laxman Narhar Indapurkar. Today, MES runs more than 77 educational institutions across Maharashtra, providing education from Kindergarten to Post Graduation (KG to PG).
MES established its English and Marathi Medium Pre-primary, Primary, and Secondary Schools at New Panvel in June 1999. The school is named after Vasudev Balwant Phadke, the founder of MES, whose birthplace is Shirdhon near Panvel. Over the years, the school has earned an excellent reputation for academic excellence and holistic development. The school has consistently achieved 100% results in the SSC Board Examination for the past 15 years. Students have also excelled in scholarship and competitive examinations such as Ganit Sambodh, Pradnyashodh, and Hindi Rashtrabhasha , SOF exams etc
Our school aims at the all-round development of every child by blending modern education with Indian culture and values. Along with academics, students actively participate in scientific, cultural, social, and environmental activities such as Environmental Dindi, Vruksh Rakshabandhan, Gurupournima as Matru-Pitru Poojan, cleanliness drives, water conservation campaigns, and street plays.
To nurture creativity and confidence, the school organizes field visits, workshops, personality development sessions, sports activities, and skill-based programs. “Harmony,” the annual school magazine, provides a platform for students, teachers, and parents to express their creativity and ideas.
The school also focuses on emotional and physical well-being through its Personality Development and Counselling Centre and ‘Kridavardhini’ sports initiatives, which include games like Taekwondo, karate, kick- boxing, Volleyball and Kho- Kho. Strong parent-school cooperation through the Parents Teachers Association further strengthens the school’s mission.
With dedicated teachers, supportive parents, and enthusiastic students, the school continues to strive towards excellence and aims to reach greater heights in the years to come.
