Rakshabandhan Celebration
Adyakrantiveer Vasudev Balwant Phadke Vidyalaya English Medium Secondary Section has celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan with great joy and cultural spirit on 9th August 2025 (Saturday). The program aimed to promote the values of love, care and respect among students.
As part of the celebration, students tied rakhis to their classmates, symbolizing friendship and mutual respect. Teachers also explained the importance of traditions in building strong social and family bonds.
Students learned the cultural and moral values associated with Raksha Bandhan and participated actively in fostering unity and affection.
The school also celebrated वृक्ष रक्षाबंधन, i.e. eco friendly Rakshabandhan by tying rakhi on trees under the theme ‘वृक्षवल्ली आम्हा सोयरे वनचरे’’.
Students of Std 8th prepared self made rakhi with the help of eco friendly material like flowers, food grains, pulses, papers etc. in their classroom under the guidance of class teachers .
The celebration not only honoured the traditional festival of Rakshabandhan but also instilled the value of environmental stewardship among the students.
Students understood the importance of trees in sustaining life and committed to becoming responsible guardians of nature.
