Road Safety Week

Road Safety Week was celebrated in the school from 12th to 18th January to create awareness about road safety. The objective of National Road Safety Week is to educate people about the dangers of reckless or irresponsible driving. Various programs and activities were organized in the school to promote the cause of safe roads for all. On the occasion of Makar Sankranti festival, a drawing competition was organized on Tuesday, 14th January 2025, in which the students of class VIII beautifully drew various road safety symbols on kites of different sizes, while the students of class IX tried to convey various messages to the parents through their graceful drawings to follow traffic rules based on road safety. The exhibition was held on Saturday, 18th January 2025,same day their was a guidance lecture on road safety and disaster management was organized, for the parents and students of classes VIII and IX of English as well as Marathi medium. The chief speaker of the program was Hon’ble Shri. Sharad Kumbhar, RSP Commandant of  Navi Mumbai, Municipal Corporation. The program began with a welcome speech by Headmistress Manisha Mahajan, followed by a informative session. Mr. Sharad Kumbhar provided valuable information on road safety rules, importance of traffic signs and signals and also suggested tips for safe driving. He also discussed road traffic control measures and the importance of safety rules.In the second part of the session, Mr. Kumbhar spoke about disaster management, focusing on how to protect oneself in natural and man-made disasters. The session was interactive, in which students actively participated. Followed by a road safety quiz was also organized for all the students
as well as their parents in which they actively participated. This commendable initiative was highly appreciated by the parents.
