Aashadhi Ekadashi celebration

The Ashadhi Ekadashi celebration was held with great devotion, spirituality, and enthusiasm at A.V.B. Phadke Vidyalaya, Naveen Panvel. The entire school premises were beautifully decorated, setting a devotional tone for the event. The program was anchored gracefully by Mrs. Vaibhavi Maral Madam, who welcomed the gathering and guided the sequence of events with warmth and clarity.

The celebration began with a respectful welcome extended to Headmistress Mahajan Madam, our chief guest Mrs. Varsha Sahastrabudhe Madam, esteemed Mrs. Anaya Karandikar Madam, along with the presence of enthusiastic parents, teachers, and students.

The spiritual essence of the occasion was brought alive with a soulful prayer and Aarti, including “Sukhkarta Dukhaharta” and “Vitthal Aarti”, invoking blessings from Lord Vitthal. The devotional atmosphere filled the hearts of all present with peace and positivity.

Adding spiritual depth to the celebration, Mrs. Varsha Sahastrabudhe Madam addressed the gathering and shared inspiring information about Saint Tukaram Maharaj. She emphasized the saint’s unwavering devotion, simple living, and powerful Abhangs that continue to guide generations. She urged students and parents to cherish and preserve our cultural values and to walk on the path of faith, devotion, and service.

Mrs. Anaya Karandikar Madam also shared valuable insights into the importance of Ashadhi Ekadashi, explaining how it teaches us the virtues of patience, discipline, and spiritual cleansing. Her words inspired everyone to reflect on the true meaning of the festival beyond rituals.

The cultural segment of the program included an Abhang Singing Competition, where students of Std. VIII participated with great enthusiasm. Their melodious renditions of devotional songs echoed with energy and devotion. Following this, a dance performance by the girls of Std. VIII, based on the theme “Trees Are Our Friends”, beautifully merged cultural expression with environmental awareness.

As part of the school’s Green Legacy Initiative, a thoughtful segment was presented by Std. IX and X students, guided by the Water Security Teachers. The students shared their observations, surveys, and learnings on plant life and environmental conservation, urging everyone to contribute to a greener planet.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks and an inspiring speech by Headmistress Mahajan Madam, who appreciated the efforts of the students and staff. She encouraged everyone to follow the values taught by saints like Tukaram Maharaj and to lead lives enriched with devotion, humility, and care for nature.

The Ashadhi Ekadashi celebration was a perfect blend of faith, culture, learning, and responsibility, leaving a lasting impression on all.
