Maza khel mandila karin tuzhi seva.”

The festival of Navratri, dedicated to Goddess Durga, is observed from Ashwin Pratipada to Dashami. During these nine days, the traditional celebration of Bhondla takes place. To familiarize the students with this cultural practice, Bhondla was celebrated in the Pre-Primary section on 26th September 2025.

The program commenced with the worship of the elephant’s image by the Hon. Headmaster. Thereafter, Assistant Teacher Mrs. Charuta addressed the students and explained the significance and traditions of Bhondla.

Students, dressed in colorful traditional attire, formed a circle and sang traditional Bhondla songs with great enthusiasm. The atmosphere was further enriched by the participation of parents. Mrs. Kajal Gade, a parent from the Junior Section, shared valuable guidance on the topic of mobile fraud awareness and necessary safety measures.

Many women parents attended the celebration and joined in singing Bhondla songs, adding to the joy and liveliness of the occasion. The traditional circle dance created a vibrant and cheerful environment.

The program concluded with the distribution of nutritious peanut and rajgira chikki as prasad to all students, parents, and teachers. Parents also expressed their appreciation for the school through positive feedback.

Thus, the Bhondla festival was celebrated with enthusiasm, highlighting the importance of preserving and passing on our rich cultural heritage.
